WHY I STARTED GOOD GRAIN BAKERY
Gluten Free Baking Course
Whether you follow a gluten-free diet or want to bake for someone who does, this masterclass will teach you how to use techniques unique to gluten-free baking and simple, easy-to-find ingredients. Our philosophy is to keep the recipe as natural, tasty and nutritious as possible by blending a wide range of gluten-free flours, and to celebrate the different flavours and textures creatively!
The workshop will be led by Tara Taylor. Due to her own dietary restrictions, and after years of struggling to find properly wholesome and delicious gluten free bakes for herself, her family and friends, Tara started the Good Grain Bakery. With her friends and family as inspiration, Tara set out to make allergy-sensitive breads, free from preservatives and additives.
In this half day workshop, you will create a versatile gluten-free dough suitable for pizza and bread. Our hands-on course will teach you how to create gluten free crackers and mouth-watering shortbread biscuits flavoured with some herbs from our biodynamic garden. You will enjoy a gluten free dinner of items created during the course and a few items to take home.
Heath Street Bakehouse is conveniently located just a short walk from Hampstead Underground Station.
Upon exiting the station, turn left onto Heath Street.
Proceed along Heath Street for approximately 100 metres, and you will find the Bakehouse on your left at 79-81.
Please note that our bakery is not a Gluten-Free site. As a result, any course attendees who are coeliac will learn skills and be given recipes to bake at home, but sadly won't be able to eat the fruit of their labours on the day. We will prepare a special gluten free dinner for anyone that requires it.
